Regardless of your wellness goals, it’s no doubt that everyone is concerned with the way they look physically these days. What’s more concerning is the lack of emphasis many are placing on total body wellness.
Body Mind & Spirit
One can have the perfect body, and some would argue that the self-image boost they get form looking good physically helps them just as much mentally. But is there danger in putting so much of our self-image and worth into physical appearance alone? Inevitably our bodies will suffer the test of time; we can’t stay 20 looking forever. It is just as important to invest time resources into our total mind and spirit as much as we do our bodies.
Mind
As we grow older, we hope to be able to get around physically, but as most know, growing older means that our physical bodies will slowly deteriorate (for lack of a better term). In the end, most of us may only be left with our minds if we’re luck. So shouldn’t we be putting as much emphasis on exercising and developing our mental capacity as much we do our physical bodies? Of course some are very concerned and work hard on their mental well being, but that is hard to see when the media seems to be fixated on the physical appearance.
Spirit
Having a health spiritual self is essential in creating a life filled with serenity and peace of mind. As the saying goes; you can’t put a price tag on a peace of mind. Few will argue that those whom seem to have a heightened sense of spiritual awareness live longer and happier lives. Maybe there’s something to this.
There is something that appears to be catching on that seems to include all aspect of body wellness; in body, mind, and spirit. And oddly enough these places seem to be coming popular vacation destination; they are called the wellnesshotel or healthtel. These destinations seem to incorporate all aspects of body wellness. So the next time you consider looking good, think about how well you feel mentally and spiritually as well. And if you happen to be in need of a vacation, check out a wellnesshotel.
