Since fall is almost here, you may be thinking less about thoughts of time by the pool and more about getting prepared for the cooler weather that is to come. Depending on where you live, this may mean moving your parties indoors. Even though I love to entertain no matter where it is, I must confess that I do miss how easy it is to entertain outside when the cooler weather comes.
While it is safe to say that there is no way to duplicate how easy entertaining is outside in the summer time, there are many things that you can do to help keep things fun in the cooler months. Throwing unique parties is one thing that I really like to do.
A fondue night is a great way to mix things up. Making fondue at home is easier than you might think. If you have never tried it you should give it a shot. While they are not yet quite as common as they were in the 1960′s and 1970′s, fondue parties have recently begun to be popular again. Fondue is a great way to ensure a slow paced evening where your closest loved ones linger over a shared meal.
To ensure the smoothest possible evening, you need to pick the best fondue set to meet your needs. Once you decide on your menu you will have a better idea of what type of pot to get. Although it won’t be sufficient for other kinds of fondue, if all you are serving is chocolate fondue you can get away with a simple chocolate fondue set with a tea light under it.
Your options are a sterno or electric set if you are looking for a meat or cheese fondue set. If you can make it fit into your budget, an electric fondue set is a great way to go. It is much easier to control leaving you free to enjoy your friends and family.
