Flat panel televisions are becoming more and more popular. As cost continue to get lower, the features on these televisions continues to increase. Consumers are flocking to find the latest in LCD, LED, or Plasma high definition displays, mainly because of the amazing picture quality that they gain without wasting space. For many consumers, though, are left with trying to figure out what kind of LCD, LED, or plasma TV mounts work the best.
The most basic wall mount system is a low profile bracket. While it does not allow for much adaptability and or access to the rear of the unit for connecting peripheral devices, it does present a nice installation, holding the television unit nearly flat against the wall.
Similar in design to the low profile bracket is the tilting bracket. The concept here is the same, however, this unit includes a pivot that allows for the unit to tilt up and down. This flexibility provides for increased viewing range and a more customized experience.
Full motion systems combine the stability of the low profile systems with the flexibility and control of a hinged arm that allows the television to moved away from the wall. Once away from the wall, the television can be controlled for directional viewing, tilting both up and down and from side to side.
Many television cabinets are also offering an included mounting bracket, allowing the television to be mounted above the cabinet without the hassle of installing it onto the wall. Many televisions also come with stands that allow them to be set on top of a television armoire or cabinet stand.
Choosing which mounting system to use is very subjective. Each individual will make their choice based upon function and cost. Ultimately, though, as long as they enjoy their viewing experience, there truly is no wrong choice.
