The fertility industry is a huge billion-dollar industry. They have a lot at stake. That’s why you never hear them talking about the merits of herbal treatments for infertility. It’s as if the alternative medicine is a snake oil branch of the medicine that does not work at all. However, if the real statistics on the effectiveness of their drugs and procedure were to leak out, they will be most likely out of business the very next day.

It’s not the fault of the modern medical industry alone for the widespread ignorance about the available natural remedies for infertility. Mostly, it’s because our society is so commercialized that taking a full-page ad on any newspaper is cost prohibitive for most alternative medicine practitioner. Bare in mind that you can’t patent a herb and you can’t stop others from using the same remedy so there’s no financial incentive for commercial interests to educate the masses. Another reason is because most people don’t have any fertility problem at all so it’s not not going to be cost effective to advertise on any newspaper or TV (Thank god for the Internet though).

Because of the lack of information available for couples who are having a hard time conceiving a baby. Most couples would usually consult their doctor as their only source of information and treatment. The doctor will then prescribe a range of medicine (one after another for each failures) and then refer you to the specialist if he/she can’t produce the results you’re looking for. The same thing will happen with the specialist and they will refer you to the IVF and/or IUI treatment, which cost a fortune.

All is well if the IVF and IUI can help a couple conceive a baby. But the truth is that only 18% of all couples ever successfully conceive a baby using these costly treatments. Why is it that the IVF and IUI industry is claiming a 50% success rate? Surely, they can’t be lying? They’re not exactly lying but they just conveniently forgot to include a tiny little fact in it reports, that 50% success rate is for couples with the highest chance of success.

Most couples don’t even face a decent chance in getting conceived using IVF and IUI. They would be better off going on alternative medicine like herbs. For example, red raspberry tea has been used as a herbal infertility treatment for a long time in China. Many people content that is it wasn’t effective the treatment won’t last for so long, you’ll have to make up your own mind whether its worth a shot. The added bonus with these herbal remedies for infertility is that it doesn’t have side effects, and they are available for very little financial investment.
