The section of the pipe which has to be soldered needs to be completely dry. First, cut it to the required length. Clean the ends of the pipe using a sand cloth till they become shiny. If there is some dirt left, the solder may not work properly. With the help of a brush clean the inner side of the fittings. You can use a sand cloth also to clean it. Apply the soldering paste to the inside of the fittings and end of the pipe with the small brush. Ignite the torch and hold it about half inch far from your fitting. Place the solder to the fitting and heat. When it melts you can see it moving round the fitting. Stop the torch and use the solder to level the fitting. Use a wet cloth to wipe the excess paste. For testing your work, turn on the water and check.
