Aside form these things, it is also important to know the different types of bunk bed. These kids beds come in five basic types and they are as follows.
• Standard. This is the typical bunk bed in which one bed is place right on top of the other. The two beds cannot be separated and it ahs no other features.
• Loft Bed. Some consider this a different kind of bed but others categorize it as a type of bunk bed. This is also like a standard bunk bed but only the upper part has a sleeping space. The lower portion has a vacant space where you can place a study desk, a small closet, and another bed.
• Trundle Bed. This is a standard bunk bed with a trundle that can be pulled out for extra sleeping space.
• Stackable Bed. This looks like a standard bunk bed but the two beds can be separated to form two beds that you can both place on the floor.
• Futon Bunk Bed. This has a sleeping space on the upper part. The lower part, on the other hand, has a futon or a sofa-like part where your kids can lounge or relax or entertain friends while in their bedroom.
