In this day and age, more and more people are looking for ways to lose weight while having fun. It seems our patience as a nation is waning and we can no longer wait for months on end to lose those few stubborn pounds. This is one reason there are so many ‘lose weight quick’ products on the market now. I recently discovered a way to lose weight and the best thing is, I wasn’t even trying to when I signed up. As if you couldn’t tell, I’m talking about losing weight by taking Salsa dance lessons.
After watching shows on TV like ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and others, I decided I wanted to learn how to dance. My goal wasn’t to dance like the stars, it was to learn how to dance so I could join some local clubs. I signed up for 12 weeks worth of lessons. This was the basic package and I figured I could hold my own after these sessions were over.
After the third week, I weighed myself and saw that I had lost 7 pounds! Wow. Here I was using nearly every weight loss product I could and following all types of diets in order to lose a few pounds. And wouldn’t you know it, the one thing I really enjoyed was one of the most effective weight loss methods I had ever tried!
I told my instructor that I was surprised that I had started to lose so much weight and he said that it was not uncommon for people to start shedding pounds after a few weeks of dance lessons. He told me that I could expect to lose more and more weight before I started to plateau. You can imagine how excited I was to hear that!
I’ve had sleep problems for quite some time now. Another benefit that I’m crediting to the dance lessons is that I’m able to go to sleep much easier and I seem to sleep much sounder. I also seem to feel much better throughout the day and have more energy. I can’t tell you how excited I’ve been to discover this wonderful way to lose weight and get healthy! I wish I had known about this years ago.
So I started watching what I ate to see if my weight loss would continue. After the other 9 dance lessons were finished, I weighed again and had lost a total of 17 pounds! Even my husband noticed how I had toned up. That was a great side benefit of taking Salsa dance lessons. My arms, thighs and mid section really started to tone up and I couldn’t be happier. Now I plan to keep watching what I eat and sign up for more dance lessons so I can watch the weight fall off!
