Can International Students Attend Digital Filmmaking Summer Camp?

International students are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Arrangements can be made for teens flying into San Francisco International Airport or San Jose International Airport to be met by professional transportation companies and escorted to the camp, and escorted back to their airport and to the gate.  These services are not provided by the Digital Media Academy staff, there are several professional transportation companies locally that can be hired for these services.

This two week summer camp includes residential lodging on the Stanford University campus from Sunday evening June 19th through Friday evening June 24th, and from Sunday evening June 26th through Friday evening July 1st 2011.  A weekend stay-over on the Stanford University campus is optional.

What’s Stanford University Summer Camp Like?

Teens staying on the Stanford University campus get a real life college experience, learn about the exciting world of digital filmmaking, and make memories that last a lifetime!  Dorm life is exactly as a Stanford University student would experience.  Check with the Digital Media Academy staff for directions to the campus dorm, and a list of items to bring to camp.  Bring bedding for an XLong Twin bed, blanket, pillow and towels.  A bicycle (with a bike lock) would be great to have to zip across campus.  A fan for the dorm room would be very comfortable.  Internet access in the dorm room can be ordered from the Stanford campus for a fee.  Enrollment is limited to 20 students, early registration is encouraged!  Have a great summer with Digital Media Academy’s Digital Filmmaking Summer Camp!

Education today is a field filled with change.  Professionals charged with educating students are on the constant lookout for the best way to teach children what they need to know in the most efficient manner possible.  Many things have to be taken into account when examining how the “typical” student best learns.

Students do not enter the classroom working at the same level.  Differentiated instruction strategies are teaching methods designed to take this into account.  While some students may have had support at home since they were little more than babies, other students receive very little support once they leave the classroom.  Over time, this can result in some students working at a much more advanced level than their classmates.  Teachers must so their best to assess from the beginning of the school year who might require some extra help.
