Sometimes your living room may just felt a little bit dull. Of course, there is the basic TV and couch that everyone else seems to have in their space but something like turquoise accessories can be a great way of spicing up the more used room in your home. Plus, it will just be a way to add a fun color to a room filled with rich woods and gold accessories even if it is a formal sitting room.
You can also have a lot of fun by doing a few paint projects. You could use this color on accent chairs or console tables. You could even try it out on your fireplace mantle. For more of a shabby chic look you could layer a Brown glaze on top so it seems aged or antique. This will really tone down the color a little bit and give everything a sense of history. In this case you are going to want to keep the rest of your room quite neutral so that your new project is really the star of the show and it will keep the color relatable.
